The purpose of this Work Group is to profile existing specifications to define an interoperable trust infrastructure for use by parties participating in Trust Frameworks. This will allow entities to determine the certification status and configuration parameters of entities outside of their local federation.

Upcoming Event: Burton Group Catalyst Open Identity for Business Interop

The interop plans to demonstrate new profiles for automated trust metadata exchange once they are defined. The definition work is being conducted in the Kantara Federation Interoperability Workgroup (FIWG). FIWG will be profiling existing specifications to define an interoperable trust infrastructure for use by parties participating in Trust Frameworks. This will allow entities to determine the certification status and configuration parameters of entities outside of their local federation. Note, Interop participants, who don’t want to be involved in the definition of specification details don’t need to join FIWG, but may still feel free to follow the group progress by subscribing to the FIWG mail list.
